4a «On a visit at an ancient tribe». Activities and dwellings of ancient people on the territory of Karelia

Общий вид.jpgThe complex "On a visit at an ancient tribe" is a special museum space designed for the creative development of historical material for school children. Getting into the ancient vaulted halls of the basement floor of the museum, children have the opportunity to travel to the distant past of Karelia.

The history of ancient tribes on the territory of Karelia dates back thousands of years. How does the world work, how were ancient people similar to us and how did they differ, what things, events and phenomena surrounded them? Visitors will be able to find answers to these and other questions in the interactive museum complex, where you can literally touch copies of objects of a thousand-year history, hold an hache and a pickaxe of an ancient person in your hands, make fire, try to decipher ancient drawings on Karelian rocks - petroglyphs, try to process a skin of the killed animal. Play tears will allow visitors to plunge into the world of an ancient tribe, try on the role of a leader or shaman, attend the ritual of initiation into hunters by performing a ritual dance for this. A stone labyrinth and copies of images of ancient idols - the spirits of nature - will help you to touch the mysterious and vast world of your ancestors.

The thematic classes are held in the museum and educational complex: “The Art of an Ancient Man”, “The Life of an Ancient Tribe”, “Mysteries of Labyrinths”, “Rituals and Beliefs of the Ancient Inhabitants of Karelia”, “Archaeological Monuments of Karelia”.
