14. «Olonetsk clergy». Orthodoxy in Karelia. XIX - beginning of XX century

In Hall No. 14 there presented an exposition that tells about the history of orthodox church of the XIX century on the territory of the Olonets province, including monasteries and clergymen.

In 1872, according to the project of the Olonetsk provincial engineer M. P. Kalitovich, Petrozavodsk merchant E. G. Pimenov built a four-story stone building (corner of the present-day streets Gogolja and Antikainena). The seminary had three departments - rhetoric, philosophy, theology and educated priests for the Diocese of Olonetsk.

The hall presents such objects as photographs of churches that have survived and that have disappeared, church utensils (dishes, crosses, chalices), manuscripts and old printed books, icons.
